Euroka Again

Well it's been a while since I've written my blog and I thought ,I'm going start it again.
So here I am.
I had a great time at Euroka just as predicted. It felt great to be with the horses day and night for 4 days. We did so many things that I just can't count! We did things like going to the Jenolan Caves.
It was so awesome being inside a cave in which you could see how crystals evolve. The guide showed us some water that looks like it's glass with white sand. Actually it's water with muddy wet dirt that's very hard to get off your boots, that water is the town's water supply. It was sad for everyone when the tour was over, well for most people it was. On our Jenolan Caves quest we managed to go to the wrong car park,have Hunter and Fletcher take off their T-shirts, have a picnic and sneak some lollies into the journey back to the farm.
1 day after we went horse riding. It was a cool route, just a little bit longer than the fist one. Here are the horses names and the people who rode them. Me- Billy, Mum - Dandy, Lisa - Jackpot,Hunter- Clancy and Tom - Eddie. Halfway through the horse ride Tom made an unexpected fall. He held on with all his might but alas he fell. Luckily it wasn't a big fall because A-  his horse was the smallest of them  all and B he broke his fall. After this unlucky scene Tom's horse was trailed along the rest of the way.
 We met 2 horses and 1 cat. The cat's name was Princess, an adorable, soft,1 year old kitten. The 2 horse's names were Haddock and Miles. Fletcher and I personally preferred Haddock and Hunter preferred Miles.On that same day I discovered that I love bike riding. Tom, Hunter and I went down this track that had branches curling over it leaving us just enough room for us to cycle under, it was great!
Unfortunately the next day was the dreaded day when we had to go home. We all knew that the day would come, it went by so quickly. Oh well, time to pack up and leave. Good-bye Euroka see you next time!

Last week the McEnnies went to Dubbo Zoo. Tom and Hunter took bikes and Mum, Lisa, Fletcher and I took a buggy. We went around the whole zoo.  The first animals we saw were the African wild dogs.  They were really cute and one of them even got up to say a little hello and then sat back down again to go to sleep.  Then we saw the rhinoceros and we listened to the rhinoceros talk.  Then we got really bored and so we went back to the buggy and the bikes.  We drove around to other animals.  We saw tons of animals like the lemurs, the meerkats, the tapir, the giraffes and the camels.  My favourite out of all of them was the lemurs because we saw the zookeepers feeding them.  It was funny because I took a picture of the lemurs and I didn't realise that I actually had the monkeys in the background.  At the end we did a big drive around and passed all the animals instead of actually going to look at them.  After the big drive around the last animals that we got to look at were the lions and this place were there were wallabies, 1 emu and some koalas.  When we went up the koala viewing place we saw this really cute little curled up possum behind a gum tree branch and it was raining so he was trying to keep cover probably.

On Saturday whilst daddy and tommy were playing othello mum screamed "Hey guys come and look at this". So because I was downstairs watching tv I immediately turned off the tv and ran into the garage where mum was.  I found her looking at a southern leaf-tailed gecko.  When I saw it I ran upstairs to get dad and tom.  So they both came downstairs (I also grabbed the video camera) to mum.  Then I turned on the video camera and videoed it. It was on a bag and mum sort of shook the bag a tiny bit with her foot and then it scurried off under a surf board and a couple of boxes under the garage.  I was sort of scared of it at first and then I thought it was kind of cute. So when it scurried off I was sad.

On Friday at lunchtime we left to go to Woollondilly River.  It took 3 hours and there was this really long track that went down to the river.  We were the last ones to get to the campsite and when Marianne and the Mennies saw our car they were so excited.  I went into the river straight away and had a good time.  Unfortunately I got stung by a bee but it was a lot better than it would have been and I pulled out the stinger myself without crying.

At the camp there were lots of birds and my favourite ones were a blue wagtail and this yellow bird.

Mummy also saw a heron on the other side of the river.  Probably when I was picking blackberries.

At night time we cooked lots of marshmellows by the fire.  They were really yummy and gooey and Hunter's one actually caught on fire.  After that Mamma put some music on her phone and we all started dancing.  The only songs that I can really remember were Move Like Jagger and Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night, and on that song all of us kids just randomly made up a dance and I have to say it was a pretty good one.

On Saturday Lisa said that we were going to make some damper snails and the boys and the dads and Darcy went out on a little walk whilst Lisa, Marianne and I went looking for damper sticks whilst Mummy and Fletcher stayed by the fire.  When the boys got back we made the damper rolls.  Mine was the third to be ready because I had to cook the bottom a little bit more but they were really really good with butter and golden syrup.

On the last day we were all really really sad to leave but we got to do some final races which were fun. Then it started raining really heavily so we all sat under the gazebo and finished off the biscuits.  Then we got home and I was really excited to sleep in my own bed.

The movie Puss in Boots

On Monday Lisa, Hunter, Fletcher, Mum, Tom and I went to go and see Puss in Boots, well at least that's what we intended to do.  Instead Tom cut his eyebrow open and Mum had to take him to the doctor because he fell off his skateboard.  So Lisa, Hunter, Fletcher and I couldn't go to the movies in the morning but then Mum found out that we could go to another cinema to see Puss in Boots.  I was quite happy that we got to see Puss in Boots in the end because it was really funny and weird at the same time.  My favourite character in the movie was Kitty Softpaws because she had really really soft paws.  In the movie there was this really funny cat that went "ooooh" every time Puss and Kitty Softpaws did something weird.  The reason why I thought it was funny was because Puss was at first a hero and then turned into a bandit.

The weekend at scotland island!

On the weekend we went to Scotland Island. When we got to the wharf we waited for John, then we saw John, hopped on the boat and drove off to Scotland Island. When we got to Scotland Island Tom and I went off to play with Charlie and Noah. Next Angie and Liam arrived. Then Charlie, Noah, Oscar, Tom and I, dressed up as zombie captains, bats, assistants, and knights.Then we came marching out saying left right left right! After that we ate the ginger bread house. It was sort of hard to break in at first and then it got easier and easier. Leanne took us to see the nine o'clock fireworks - they were awesome!
On New year's day we went to a secret beach and got attacked by a goanna! Then we needed to go home.

The school holidays

On Friday Uncle Robert, Claire, Daddy, Grandpa Mark, Mummy, Tom and I went to the Hunter Valley.  We stayed in a cottage called Kookaburra.  Tom and i bought our scooters so we could scoot around the deck but the deck was only a bit little so we couldn't really scooter that much.  Claire and i played a bit of netball without a hoop but that didn't matter because Claire pretended that her hands were a hoop.  Then on Sunday we went to lots of wine tasting places and one wine tasting place had a chocolate shop and there was a big silver bowl with melted chocolate in it and you could get strawberries dipped in the melted chocolate and also marshmellows dipped in the melted chocolate. Tom got strawberries dipped in chocolate and I got marshmellows dipped in chocolate.  Then we went to a  place with dirty puddles and it was close to the place with chocolate and uncle robert and clare walked there and the rest of us drove there.   Only Claire and Uncle Robert went in and the others stayed outside.  Then we went back and clare and i played running races and when it was a minute over we had to yell stop and we had to go to the same place or if you wanted you could go to a different place and claire won most of them because she wasn't running around as much as Tom and I.  We had to leave on Sunday.

On Monday we dropped Grandpa Mark at the airport so that he could go back to London and both Mummy and Grandpa Mark were crying and I was pretty sad too.  When we were driving back we played this game where we had to think of an animal beginning with K and then P and then M and then G.  The first one was Tom's go and he thought of Kangaroo, Possum, Monkey and then a goat.  When it was my go I thought of a Koala, Penguin, Mouse, Giraffe.  And then before we went back home we stopped at McDonald's to get some lunch.  Then we went to Stockland to buy some things and then we went home.

On Tuesday we went to Little Manly with Zoe, Aunty Bels and that lot and before everybody got there Tom and I went for a swim and we played on the rocks.  Then Zoe arrived and Aunty Bels and then we played a game of Tip and Sam, Bronte, Barney and I played on the swings and we had some lunch.  We played a little game of Tip because not that many people played and then we went home.

On Wednesday we had Jasmyn and Olivia came over to our house and we made chocolate easter eggs and we went to the park and we made 2 big ones and quite a few little ones and some were hollow and some were fully chocolate.  Then we played Old Maid to see who won and whoever won got to choose their easter egg first and whoever came second got to choose their Easter egg second and the person who came last had to choose their easter egg last and I came first, Tom came second and Olivia came last.  After that we got out some writing icing stuff and we got to choose an easter egg to decorate with the icing writing thing.  Then we watched Narnia, the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.  Before it finished Olivia had to go home and we got to watch the rest of it.  When it finished we went to soccer training for Tom and Jasmyn was the coach.  Whilst soccer was on I went to Eleanor's house and we played a game of mums and dads until Jasmyn came to pick me up and we went home.  We played a game of Go Fish and a game of Old Maid until mummy came home.  We showed mummy our easter eggs that we decorated and we got to eat them after dinner.

On Thursday we went to Arabanoo and we went to Max Brenner the chocolate shop first and we went to the movies to see Rio.  On Friday we were at home with mum then we went to Oscar and Angie's house and Oscar's granny was there.  And first we arrived and we started playing with Oscar's bey blades and then Charlie and Noah came with Oscar and Oscar and Noah were playing with the bey blades in the bucket and then they stopped playing that because we were playing a bit and then we had some food - rolls with tomato and cheese in it and we also had some carrot.  We played some more and we played Ninja's, then there was these little cakes and we got one each and we had a really easy easter egg hunt because Leanne told us where they were and we rushed to where they were and we found them.
